Dana started teaching group fitness classes in college, shortly after the freshman fifteen. She immediately knew this was something she loved doing and has obtained the following certifications, as well as others, since then: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Health and Fitness Specialist,National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Personal Training Certification,American Fitness & Aerobics Association (AFAA) Group Exercise Certification, Mad Dogg Spinning Certification.
She reluctantly got certified for indoor cycling in 1998 when her director needed instructors for a new offering called Spinning. The thought of staying on a stationary bike for 45 minutes did not sound appealing. She went ahead with the certification and has been happily teaching since then. Thank goodness for pushy directors!
She has her BS in Marketing from the University of Scranton. In her spare time, She enjoys coaching youth basketball and track and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
